The past week I took a little breather from Operation Skinny Jeans. I was super busy with work and then I wasn’t feeling 100% the latter part of the week. So I took a few days off from tracking calories, worrying about what the scale would read, and just focused on what would make me feel better/not crazy. It involved a couple of my favorite smoothies, a rather healthy sandwich from a cute café and bakery by my house, and indulging in some candy eating at work yesterday afternoon.
I think dieting can become a sort of obsession. You are so focused on counting calories and losing weight that you can’t focus on anything else. In my life, I have a lot of other things to focus on. School, work, my family, friends, the Bung, los petite chats, etc.
So this week, my goal is to obsess less, and live a little more. Sometimes you need a cupcake, and you should let yourself have it.
