Saturday = Good, Sunday = Bad
It's moccasin season at last | Braided bunhead at work
Dusty snail mail, I have the best friends | Alfred Hitchcock and The Birds public art
Saturday shopping find | Bike racks in NoDo
Snuggle chats | Added a giraffe to my ring holder menagerie
Is my brother not the biggest stud you've ever seen? | Trying to kill each other or hugging?
This weekend was a roller coaster at the Bungalow. We started the weekend off with a little R&R on Friday night, and then went on a shopping extravaganza all over town on Saturday. I scored that awesome camera ring and the giraffe ring holder at a boutique and a jewelry stand for $5 at Urban Outfitters. We also stocked up on Creighton gear at their bookstore on campus. Jays season is almost upon us!
Sunday things took a turn for the worse. I had a migraine all day that required Andy to be my nurse ("Andy! I need Gatorade! Will you bring me a candy bar? I need coffee!"). I was a pain in the ass. He's really the best. Then, Andy got to the bottom of our electrical problem we've been having in the Bungalow. Our lights have been flickering for a few days ago, and it appears we have sprung a leak in our weatherhead where the electrical service goes into our house. This has caused a bunch of the wires to corrode. And according to Omaha law, you can't work on your own electrical service, so we have to hire an electrician to fix it. And who KNOWS how much that will cost. Bah.
How was your weekend?

Oh no! Electrical work! I am sending good vibes out into the universe that you will find an honest, fast, efficient electrician, and the job will not be expensive as you imagine!!
I'm sure glad you had such a productive weekend. But what I cannot get over is that you eat when you have a migraine, WTF.
Your bro's outfit is flippin KILLER. Epic even.
Flickering lights & a migraine? I'm glad you survived...that can be traumatizing. I think its a good thing you can't work on your own electrical things. I'm also overparanoid about electrocution.
In WI, we can work on our own electrical inside of our house, but if it has anything to do with the electrical service line or where it comes into the house- professional. And permits. And inspections every step of the way. SUPER expensive. Same thing with water and sewage. My fear has ALWAYS been our pipes freezing- because you have to fork over thousands of dollars to have them dig everything up in the middle of the winter and replace. Ugh. I see neighbors do it and I freak out and leave my water run a little bit when I'm not at home just so they don't freeze. I'd rather pay an outrageous water bill than have to second mortgage the house to repair pipes. :/
Sounds kind of like our weekend, only it started with sickness and ended on a much more fun and positive note.
I love that braid/ bun. So cute!
Sorry Sunday sucked! At least Friday was a good day! Love the braid bun!
I am so glad a snail brought you mail. Love you Shannon! You make my day better.
Home ownership rocks. ;-) I feel ya on that one. Hopefully it's cheap and easy!
I really wish I knew how to french braid...don't you think it's time I learned. And my snail mail from Dusty still hasn't arrived. That damn mailman!! Sorry you felt so cruddy yesterday. Hoping you are feeling better!!
I'm trying to the the upside down french braid to bun head but I just cant do it. My mind can't wrap around how to braid upside down. I can braid normal, on the side and all that jazz, but I've met my match.
Also, love the kitty pics!
