So in light of the fact that I cannot even remotely possibly even a little bit afford to go to one of these fancy blogger conferences, I have created my own.
I invite you all to... drumroll please...
Yep. You read it right. Alcocheese 2012.
What is Alcocheese 2012, you may ask? Well, Alcocheese is a virtual blogger conference for bloggers who are these three things; 1. too poor/will not pay for a fancy blogger conference 2. enjoy alcohol 3. enjoy cheese. Hell, even if you aren't those three things, you're invited too.
What are we going to do during Alcocheese 2012? That's an easy one. We're going to drink and eat cheese. And we're going to blog and tweet about it. Use #alcocheese2012 so you can meet all the other participants of Alcocheese 2012. There may even be impromptu Skype sessions in which we will celebrate Alcocheese 2012 face to face.
The weekend of Alcocheese 2012 just happens to coincide with a certain small Asian best friend being in Omaha. So you KNOW it's going to be a good time.
So are you in or are you in?

I like the way you think! I've been thinking about trying to save for a conference, but I just can't afford it right now with wedding planning in full swing. Alcocheese sounds amazing!!
Conferences are expensive? I didn't even know that, because I hate the word "conference" and wouldn't go to one, even if the word "blogger" was in front of it.
But this? I'll participate in this. With only certain types of cheese, since I'm a cheese snob. But every kind of beer, because I'm certainly not a beer snob.
And we do need a Skype session. How about Saturday the 20th? Can you guys pencil me in?

Even though I am hoping to go to Haven....this is most definitely in my calendar.
It also coincides with my birthday week so I am totally in! I am/love all 3 of those things, to the max. :-)
