I've written before about how big of a klutz I am. Yesterday I really outdid myself.
I was working at my company's offsite storage facility and my intern couldn't get the code to work to let us in. I hopped out of the car to type it in quickly, planning to jump back in the car as fast as I could so we wouldn't miss the gate. Sandwiched between my intern's car and the keypad, I typed in the code and jerked my head up to run back to the passenger side of the car. What I was not counting on was slamming the side of my head on one of the concrete posts surrounding the keypad. The force of the blow was enough to knock my sunglasses right off my face and scrape up my entire right ear. The edges of my vision turned black and I got really dizzy.
I gave myself a concussion. I barely remember the next hour, I was confused, and my eyes were dilated. Not good signs.
I took the afternoon off yesterday and am feeling pretty cruddy today.
I am the only person I know capable being SO clumsy that I gave myself a concussion. Seriously.
