Everyday Makeup in 10

My everyday makeup takes 10 steps, 10 different products, and under 10 minutes. Every product here can be found at your local Sephora (aka. heaven on Earth). In order of usage, I'll tell you what I use and why.

Start with your normal skincare routine. You should be following AT LEAST a three step program. I use Murad's Acne Complex System. (p.s. if you are an adult that still struggles with acne, this is the product that FINALLY cleared up my stubborn acne!)

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Oil-Free Primer: A must have. Without a proper base, your makeup will be rubbing off by noon.
2. Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer: The perfect full coverage concealer with no creasing.
3. Clinique Even Better Liquid Foundation: This foundation is oil-free and contains SPF 15. Also, it evens out your skin tone.
4. Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder: I use the "Invisible Matte" shade to set my makeup without adding additional coverage.
5. Benefit Hoola Pressed Powder: THE best bronzer I have ever found. It's natural looking and doesn't contain any of that shimmery nonsense.
6. NARS Blush in Orgasm: The much hyped blush that looks good on every skin tone. No seriously, it does. It's like magic.
7. Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion: I've tried every eye shadow primer out there, and I keep coming back to this one. It keeps my eye shadow from creasing for about 9-10 hours.
8. NARS Single Eye Shadow in Ondine: This is my everyday color. It's light enough to look casual, but with a hint of shimmer and smokiness, it can easily transition into a nighttime shade as well.
9. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Perversion: The only eyeliner I have found that doesn't make me look like a raccoon by the end of the day. For a nighttime look, I smudge a little Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Blackout around the corners of my eyes.
10. Benefit They're Real! Mascara: This mascara adds length and volume all while maintaining that separated, feathered lash look. And once it's on? It doesn't budge, even though it's not waterproof.

And voila! You have a daytime look that will stay flawless all day. I usually just slick on a little Rosebud Salve and head out the door. Do you have any products you'd like to recommend? Any tips or tricks I need to know?

I need new mascara...I'm going to try this.

I kind of gave up on eye make up when my lazy eye was in full effect, but now that it's better, I'm back to actually putting myself together in the morning. Kind of.

I need to step up my makeup routine, I have like half these steps but I've never even been in a Sephora. I think I'll check out that eyeshadow primer, that always seems to be my big issue is that it's gone by 3pm.

LOVE posts like this! I need serious help with my make up... It's so embarrassing how little make up I wear. And it's because I don't know what to use, or how to use it! I need HELP, ha ha.

I love make-up. The eye shadow primer and mascara are SO GOOD!! The primer makes such a huge difference! My eye shadow used to come off my noon. Not anymore. :) I have the foundation primer (I got it as a free gift) but have never tried it. I don't know why. I need to do that.

I need to put together some kind of routine, and actually consistently buy my makeup. I always just buy what's on sale and I dont think it's good for my aging complexion at all ;)

I need to do much better with my foundation. I just throw studio fix on there like that counts. A primer would solve so many problems!

Make-Up I refuse to spend as much money on it as you do.

Perhaps my skin would be more clear if i did.

Oooh! I want to try that photo finish! Looks awesome! I also love Urban Decay's All Nighter spray (I think that's what it's called!) I spray this on when I want my make-up to last longer (especially in the summer when it's hot and I'm more prone to sweating!) It works miracles!

I have a Maybelline Eye Studio, Green with Envy quad. I love it so much. I left my last quad ion the counter in my hotel in Chicago and I was totally devastated. I bought another one as soon as I came home. It's shimmery, but perfect.

I just discovered the kabuki brush. Amazing

I have the one from Philosophy. I've had it for about five years and it's still going strong.

I need to try that! I hate when my makeup melts off in the Omaha heat.

Shannon said...

It's one of the few things I splurge on and the reason why I have to buy most of my clothes at Target.

Shannon said...

Foundation is super important. Without the proper one, your skin can break out/age faster/look terrible!

Shannon said...

It's really the only thing I splurge on. My skin thanks me for it :)

We can go to Sephora. THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW.

My biggest pet peeve is creased eye shadow, especially on myself!

Shannon said...

I get mine at Sephora. The eye shadows are pricey but last FOREVER.

Shannon said...

I swear by Murad for my adult acne. Seriously. It's amazing. And Clinique is the only dermatologist recommended foundation, and it doesn't break me out, it actually helps treat the acne!

Shannon said...

Oh girrrrrrl. Go to Sephora. STAT.

Shannon said...

I just replaced my five year old Hoola. It lasts forever!

I am so in love with it. I have had two other mascaras that I have really liked, but they don't even compare to this one.
