Oh, hi.
Seeing as I write a personal blog, you would think that people know a lot about me. Some do, some don't. There's a lot that I don't share on this blog. Some things are just too personal to throw out on the internet for all to see, ya know? Buuuuut, I thought I would let you in on some facts about me that you may or may not know.
- I'm a writer. Not just on this blog of mine, but I have several short stories, poems, and even a book that I'm currently working on.
- I'm really silly. You probably already knew that. I am known to get the uncontrollable giggles at least twice a day. Usually I'm laughing at my own jokes.
- I have been 5'11" (and a half) since I was about 14 years old.
- I will try any food once. I have eaten everything from snails to a raw quail egg. Ostrich and alligator are two of my favorite "weird" foods.
- Andy and I have a pint glass collection from breweries we visit.
- I have never seen any Star Wars movie. Or Batman. Or the Goonies.
- I am obsessed with Lena Dunham. She is my role model.
- I have a dirty mouth. I cuss way too much. I prefer to think of it as "colorful language". My mom doesn't agree.
- I have a birthmark in the shape of Florida on the inside of my right calf.
- I met my best friend on the internet.
- I have read 60 books so far in 2012. No joke. That's the actual number.
- My favorite song is Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve.
- My favorite movie is Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
- I hate vacuuming worse than any other cleaning task. Even cleaning the toilets.
- I love to cross stitch. You can call me an old lady, it's fine.
- I'm fluent in Spanish. ¿Coma estás bitches? I also worked in immigration law for over two years. It's the reason I'm not a lawyer.
Anything you would like to know about me? I'm pretty much an open book, so let 'er rip.

I have a colorful mouth as well - my daddy hates it, but I love it! That's just how I express myself. :)
I have never seen the Goonies, either. Or any Star Wars. Batman, yes.
I hate dusting. So you do that, and I'll vacuum? Capice? Oh hey, that's my fake Italian knowledge.
You've got a lot of great movies to see then! But Ferris Bueller's Day Off has been a favorite of mine too since I was little!

I think I found my tall-twin! I wouldn't have guessed that you were 5'11 AND A HALF. The half always counts. I just watched the 3 original star wars movies because that's how much I love my boyfriend. They are pretty entertaining!
Raw quail egg?? I just threw up a little. You are BRAVE! There are definitely some things I won't ever try. It gets in my head and I make myself sick. No bueno. (See what I did there? Pretending to speak spanish? My hubs is actually fluent in spanish and nothing frustrates him more than trying to teach me the language!)
Wow, I'll come over and vacuum and you can come over and do any other chore for me! lol! I love to vacuum. It's therapeutic for me for some reason.

You're fluent in Spanish?! I've been really wanting to work on mine (I took some classes in high school and college but have forgotten most of it) because it would really help me with Spanish-speaking students!

My dad and I quote the entire movie. My mom won't watch it with us anymore.
My mom pretends to speak Spanish as she yells words like "QUESADILLA!" and "CARNE ASADA!" when my sister and I are speaking to each other in Spanish.
I am a GIANT in heels. I don't wear them much.

Teamwork cleaning is always better.
My dad doesn't mind, but my mom is all up on my ass about it constantly. She also isn't happy that I taught my 15 year old brother the saying, "Don't start no shit, won't be no shit." Now he says it all the time.
He will always be Ferris to me. Always.

I think of all the movies I haven't seen, people yell at me the most about the Goonies.
It all had to end when my client got deported for missing her court date due to the fact that she was in the hospital HAVING A BABY. Then the baby had to stay in the US because the dad was a citizen. Heartbreaking.
I live in the Midwest, so The Wizard of Oz is a must, haha.
I read a lot of free ebooks too, and also you can check them out from the public library online! So awesome, and so very free!
