Friday night we headed to Dundee for some Moscow Mules. I've had a lot of people ask what's in a Moscow Mule, so I figured I would give you guys the recipe.
Moscow Mule
A Moscow Mule at the Dundee Cork and Bottle. The best in town.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lime
- 2 oz. vodka
- 4 oz. ginger beer (not the same as ginger ale, but in a pinch ginger ale will do)
- Copper mug (not absolutely necessary, but it is much better with one)
Directions:
Add ice to mug. Squeeze lime into mug and leave the spent lime rind. Add the vodka and ginger beer. Drink to your heart's content.

Saturday we enjoyed some pizza while watching some golf and College World Series games. I was surprised how much I got into the golf game. It was ridiculous. Who am I and what have I done with Shannon?
Sunday we helped my parents chop down a tree in their backyard that fell during a particularly bad storm last Thursday night. It was hot and I was sweaty and I dropped a log on my freshly pedicured toe. I was not a happy camper.
And now it's Monday again, and I'm counting down the days until my bunhead gets back from her Asian adventure. Life without being able to talk to your best friend is not very fun at all.

I trekked through the forest with two kids and husband. It was awful, my running shoes are ruined and I had an army worm in my hair. Fail.
I renovated this weekend which means I supervised. I should have had a Moscow Mule waiting for Duh since he worked so hard.

Ever since I had my gallbladder out, my stomach has a low tolerance for beer. It sucks.

They sure are. I almost had one last night. But then I knew I couldn't have just one, so I abstained... haha.
I think that is the drink my husband has been craving since our honeymoon. Now I just need to find some ginger beer. I have no idea where to find that. As you know, we spent Saturday visiting the puppy. It was so much fun!! Just 2 weeks until we can bring him home (which is about the amount of time until Jes gets home). Gonna be a LONG 2 weeks.

yum yum. mules and sleep sound like the perfect combo. :) i had an amazing weekend in the sun.. just what i needed. :) now i am back in gray rainy portland..
catching up on sleep is a favorite past time of mine. and the moscow mules sound delicious! i'll have to try one soon! friday night i was at work until 1:30 am working on a mailing, thankfully jeff came and helped get it all done and the rest of the weekend was either spent working or getting to the root of our flower eating problem. turns out it's bugs so we bought the strongest pesticide and are in the process of killing 'em all.
I have to try these Moscow Mules everyone is talking about. I've never seen them when I was out. But then again, I always go for the "on tap" menu...
